Karen McColl is the editor of Yukon, North of Ordinary and produces two podcasts: Yukon, North of Ordinary, the podcast; and Frisky North of 60. She's also working with a local legend on a book about ski trekking. 

Karen makes a lot of calls from her desk, but loves to hit the trail as much as possible in search of stories. Reporting has taken her to the Arctic, down the Mackenzie River, and into the Yukon backcountry. 

Karen graduated from the University of King's College with a bachelor of journalism in 2014 and that year was the recipient of the Gordon Sinclair Roving Reporter Bursary. She lives in Whitehorse, Yukon.
