Karen McColl is the co-author, along with Peter Heebink, of the forthcoming book, Slogging North of 60/Half a century of ski trekking through the Yukon and beyond. 

Formerly, Karen spent three years as managing editor of Yukon, North of Ordinary (now Yukon Magazine) and seven years working for CBC Yukon as a reporter, web writer, and news broadcaster. 

She is the creator and former host of two podcasts: Yukon, North of Ordinary and Frisky North of 60. 

She lives in Whitehorse, Yukon, and spends as much time as possible on nearby trails and rivers.
